20 years at MNP for James Lennon!

From Project Engineer to Director

Back in September 2004, James officially started working at MNP as a Project Engineer, having previously joined us for two work placements whilst at university.

Over the last 20 years, James has accumulated a wide range of project experience, and we’ve been delighted to see him progress through the senior roles at MNP, before becoming a Director in 2021.

With a focus on conservation engineering, James has worked on many significant and historical buildings including the Pitman Press Building in Bath, the Grade II listed Bromley Town Hall, and Bridgemaster’s House at Tower Bridge.

Other notable projects include the new Nike store in Westfield, Fivefields at 8-10 Grosvenor Gardens, Redcoat Barns in Hertfordshire, and moving the Blue Peter wall mural at the BBC!

“James started at MNP as a sandwich student from the University of Bath.  Clearly our most successful student placement – 20 years must be a record!  He made his mark from day one and has become an integral part of the firm and thoroughly deserves to be running the conservation team.  He has now conquered his fear of heights; I still haven’t forgiven him for making me climb the mobile scaffold tower at King’s Cross station at 2am to check the arches in the façade – it was terrifying!  He is a very personable and dependable engineer universally liked.  And if you need an update on any sport, or a recommendation for good food, James is your man.” (David Mason)

Thank you James!
