We undertook a structural appraisal of the remains of the 5m high arcade walls to the former St John the Baptist Hospital.
Previous works to stabilise the remains were seen to have been successful. Broad recommendations were made for works that would maintain the integrity of the soft clunch stone/flint walls.
Targeted intervention would include the repair of or the addition of protective details to vulnerable carved mouldings and column capitals.
